Confidentiality and Privacy Policy

The relationship between a client and a therapist is protected by law, ensuring that information cannot be shared without written consent.

However, there are exceptions to this confidentiality:

  • If there is suspected child abuse, dependent adult abuse, or elder abuse, we are legally obligated to report it to the appropriate authorities immediately.

  • If a client threatens serious harm to another individual(s), we are required to notify the police and inform the potential victim.

  • If a client poses a risk of self-harm, we will make every effort to work with them to ensure their safety. Should they refuse to cooperate, we are authorized by law to take further action to secure their well-being.
